About Me
My Love for baking started as a little girl in the South, long before I moved to Washington State. My grandmother always kept cake mix stocked just for me-and if we ran low, she’d head to Akins Grocery to grab more when she went shopping. Baking brought me joy early on, but as life moved forward, raising my kids and caring for my family took center stage. In July 2023, I picked up baking again, starting with oversized cookies in fun flavors like red velvet, banana pudding, strawberry crunch, and classic chocolate chip. I shared them with my family. One day my daughter took
some to a meeting she had with the LaVergne Crimson Tide organization in Tennessee. They were such a hit, I was asked to make them smaller for resale- and that’s where my journey truly began.
Soon after, I fell in love with cake making and started baking for my grandkids’ birthdays. Every cake was made with joy, and every compliment pushed me further into now my passion. By January 2025 what started as a hobby had grown into a full business. The name Pammy Kakes has a special meaning, too. My goddaughter Tanisha- who’s been like family since she was a child used to call me Pammy everytime she saw me. That nickname stuck with me over the years, and when it came time to name my business, I knew it had to be that. I gave it a twist, changing cakes to Kakes and Pammy Kakes was born. I give all the glory to God for blessing me with this journey. Every cake, cookie and cupcake I make is filled with love. It bring me so many great memories of my grandmother {JohnElla}. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing that love with others though baking I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has supported my cake business
from day one. Your love encouragement and sweet tooths have meant the world to me!
To my family – especially my amazing husband – thank you for your patience, guidance, and unwavering love through every idea, late nights and delivery. you’ve stood beside me, supported every step I’ve taken, and delivered more cakes than I can count. I couldn’t do this without you.
To all my kid and grandkids thank you for being my taste tester , cheerleaders, and my biggest fans. And to my daughter, thank you for pushing me, promoting me and helping me grow- especially when I couldn’t alway see how far I’d come. To my Queen Bee- your words of motivation and encouragement alway seem to come right on time. Thank you for reminding me why I do this, and for speaking life into every step of this journey.
To my coworkers in the school cafeteria and the teacher who’ve supported my dream by purchasing my cakes- thanks you so much for believing in me, spreading the word, and sharing in my sweet journey. Your support has meant more than you know Pammy Kakes is built on love, faith, family, and flavor- and I’m just getting started.
